Ok, now that is through, I'm considering starting a new hobby- crochet. Well, it's not exactly new cause I did it as a kid, don't laugh! My great granny taught me, and I made some mean potholders! I don't know why I want to start doing it again, because really, what am I gonna make? But it's super cheap and gives me a hobby (cause you know I don't have enough to do in my life). Here's the problem- I'm NOT good with hobbies. I've done cross-stitch, and maybe completed 1 project ever. I get like 1/2 through and quit. I've also tried scrapbooking and I'm over a year behind doing my kids' first year, and it's about 75%, and I have probably spent at least $150 on this daggone single book. But I'm thinking a couple hooks, some internet lessons, and a few packs of yarn (don't those have names other than "packs?") and I'm only out maybe $10. We'll see.
Scarves for Christmas, anyone???

Darn it, I just did this one. And I love getting tagged! Thanks for the tag - unless you mean some other Janice :-P.
Hey, maybe you can crochet some cute hats for Ethan and Emma - like the ones they sell on Etsy!
One of my good friends crochets and she loves it. She has made scarves, hats and even a whole sweater! I think it sounds like a good idea and not crazy at all! I initially thought I did not have time to do the cake thing, but I've gotten so much enjoyment out of it that I'm going to make time. Maybe that is how you will feel about crochet!
I believe they are called skeens. But what do I know, I'm just a guy. Check out Jen's friend, Kara's blog or e-mail her directly for some "ease of crochet" advice. Her blog is linked on Jen's page and called Around the Subject. I think she has some early posts (within last month or two) about crochetting (not 100% sure there are two Ts in that word) or knitting. Good luck. Bryan
Yeah, I think they are called skeins, too. I tried crochet - one more project I never finished. Perhaps you'll do better.
I scrolled down through your pages, and didn't let my husband read that it isn't your chest at the pool, so he thinks those big mammas are YOURS. LOL
I want a new post...are you busy or something? Priorities! Your readers are waiting :)
I tried to crochet once. I made a REALLY long, REALLY skinny 'scarf' that was fit for a mouse with a huge neck! LOL I couldn't figure it out so I just quit! I did, however, make a quilt once. It's a pretty big one too, and it hasn't fallen apart yet. I've only made one though....the urge hasn't hit me since. Like I'd have the time!! Good Luck on the hobby!!!
Amanda Lea :)
So you must really be doing some knitting...
